A night like any other in the streets of Hong Kong: in the midst of the tangle of night-owls, cars and vendors, a group of passengers climb aboard a minibus that is to take them from Mongkok to Tai Po. The group is as diverse as the city: there's a young man on drugs, an arguing couple, a woman with prayer beads and a girl who has just fallen in love, and behind the wheel sits the chatty driver. As the bus emerges from a tunnel, everything is suddenly quite still: the streets and buildings are all empty and there's not a soul to be seen; it's as if everyone has suddenly been swallowed by the earth. Only the millions of neon lights continue to blink, as if nothing has happened. The eclectic group of passengers seek refuge in a deserted café and discuss what they should do. Then they make a horrific discovery.

The PlaylistJessica Kiang...if you go in prepared for its exploitative excesses and can check your expectations of such conceits as "logic," "character consistency" and "coherence" at the door, you might be in for a blast. Just don't expect any of it to make a lick of sense.
User ReviewLily WDiscombobulating, but everything makes sense from a metaphorical perspective. Think pergatory.
User ReviewTerence Lsome scenes are definitely too long and it is unnecessary. Can't really simply put words like "good" or "bad" to this film... but as a breakthrough of the long lean film industry in hk... It should be something.
User ReviewBrad SThis is a truly bizarre film, that has some strong moments, but more that were weak. Stars Honk Kong superstar Simon Yam...for fans of HK movies only.
User ReviewAngela WWhen i thought it was just the halfway the movie, it came to an ridiculous ending...XD Don't expect too much!
User ReviewKathleen NIt barely makes an APA undergraduate production... It overuses signs in conveying political messages and lacks explanation to an incidental crisis... Performance of the actors are not above average either....
User ReviewRaymond CWhat a load of tosh. Just because it shows strong local sentiment does not make ? Van a good movie. Huge bore.
User ReviewCarlos MFruit Chan crafts a gripping mystery with a lot of humor but goes too far with a rape scene and a horrid collective murder incompatible with the tone of the story, losing focus after then and not offering any explanation for the endless elements thrown in the clumsy plot.
User ReviewWS WLeaving those specious political metaphors aside, the film itself is a complete bullshit.
User Reviewc yThrilling, creative and hilarious, but it contains awful car stunts, and the plot was incomplete, leaving a lot of questions for the audience to ask, e.g. why the rain was red in colour? why Yuki often becomes so scary? Why he Japanese said they would save them, but at last crashed them with cars? And the biggest question is, why would Hong Kong people disappear?
