User ReviewBernadette CHoly crap, this movie was scary. I watch so many horror movies that it's tough to scare me at this point, but I jumped out of my seat a number of times at this one. It was intense, gory, and just plain creepy. See this movie if you get the chance.
User ReviewLouise SWas completely AWESOME JUST STINKIN AWESOME. bravo its a must see if you love blood and guts and awesome endings.
User ReviewNicholas FAs a big fan of the horror genre I have in recent years (like the last twenty) been pretty disappointed with the slasher trash and lightweight "horror" that has been produced. I actually thought "The Last House In The Woods" was a pretty good attempt at real horror. Yes, it has its cheesy moments but the fact is it was pretty damn gruesome and quite disturbing. Genuinely disturbing...isn't that what us horror fans are looking for? Rent the unrated version only and you will most definitely be horrified. Truly one of the most disturbing films I have seen in a long time- and in this overdone genre- disturbing is quite refreshing.
User ReviewVincent BAurora and her "sensitive" boyfriend Rino (he wants her to draw crayola pictures while they hump) encounter a trio of lunkhead rapists while on a country drive. Rino gets pummelled, but moments before Aurora is gang-raped (sans the crayons) the couple are "rescued" by a mysterious middle-aged couple who take the pair back to their isolated abode. This would-be safe-haven becomes a gore-soaked nightmare complete with chainsaw dismemberments, cannibal kids, drooling retards, exploding facial boils, disembowelments and more. Now, this ain't high art folks. The acting is bad, the dialogue cheesy (made even more so if one chooses to view it with the English dubbing), the visual aesthetic is pure porn-grade and the story is of the "done-to-death" variety. These faults , together with it's gore-for-broke gore and goofiness make for a deliriously enjoyable throwback to the glroy days of splat-happy spaghetti slashers.
User Reviewjerry jHere we go. I kinda choked on all the Argento homages but he is my boy so I didn't mind. It's overdubbed but that just kinda adds to the grindhouse feel, some nice splatter and it was a fun time for my EuroGoreHound ass. That english title sounds lame as hell but so be it.
User ReviewChristopher BExcellent, balls-out, insane horror flick that harkens back to the Italian films of yore. Non-stop fun from beginning til end. If the rest of the Ghost House Underground collection is anywhere as good as this one, Raimi and Tapert will have finally lived up to their promise.
User ReviewAD VWhat happens when Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, and The Last House on the Left make whoopy and have a love child? You get this movie, which at about the halfway point kicks you firmly in the balls and says, "Yeah, we're going there." I give this 4 stars because it takes true creativity to make a movie THIS brutal and still have plot.
User ReviewJohn MGross, unsettling exploitation film with an interesting premise that perfectly captures that old feel of the 70's. The gore is good and it delivers a lot of it. If you're a fan of those old movies, you'll like this.
User ReviewYvonne GIf you have seen the two versions of "Last House On The Left" and "Last House On A Dead End Street", well, there's not much new here. What it lacks in the rape-o nastyness of the other films, it makes up with ample gore. Which is fine by me. You just have to get through the terrible dubbing of this messy Italian movie.
User ReviewDebbie Hnot to bad it started out a bit slow but then it pick up the blood and gor was good
