With his reputation in tatters after the painfully unsuccessful delivery of a distinguished Japanese client, the former triple-A protection agent, Michael Bryce, is now reduced to a mere second-class bodyguard for hire, two years after the disgraceful incident. Under those circumstances, Bryce would do anything to prove his worth, and, before long, he accepts an offer from Interpol to escort the international assassin, Darius Kincaid, from Manchester to the Hague. The task seems simple: Bryce needs to transport him from point A to point B; nevertheless, the trip to the Netherlands is long and hazardous, and Kincaid--as the only one with the guts and enough hard evidence to testify against a tyrannical Belarusian dictator--is an obvious target. Undoubtedly, it's a tough job, as the mismatched duo will have to put aside their grudges, and race against the clock in a non-stop concerto for bullets. Can the hitman's bodyguard carry through the most important mission in his career?

Baret NewsKam WilliamsAn eye-popping, stunt flick chock full of implausible fight and chase scenes orchestrated in accordance with the laws of cartoon physics!
Tri-City HeraldGary WolcottIgnore the overall negative RT splat. This is guilty pleasure & a buddy flick destined to rank with Lethal Weapon, Bev Hills Cop & its cousins. Ryan and Jackson are a blast.
Entertainment WeeklyLeah GreenblattThe Hitman’s Bodyguard is strictly an Economy Coach experience, but it’s brainlessly fun enough in a late-’90s Brett Ratner buddy-comedy kind of way.
The Film StageDan MeccaThe tone is playful, to be sure, but it’s hard to see past the collateral damage. Blame it on the times. Make no mistake, all of this could be forgiven if The Hitman’s Bodyguard had enough laughs. It does not.
indieWireDavid EhrlichA half-assed action-comedy that lacks the courage to commit to its own premise.
Boston HeraldJames VerniereBetter than expected thanks to Jackson-Reynolds bromance chemistry.
EricDSnider.comEric D. SniderThe poster is more clever than anything in the movie, which is sporadically funny but completely devoid of personality.
The PlaylistWill AshtonIt’s not an easy movie to love and it’s not an easy movie to hate either. It’s annoyingly, persistently just okay.
Vanguardia (Mexico)Carlos Díaz ReyesHumor may seem silly at times, but he is forgiven for being so entertaining. [Full review in Spanish]
MetroGreg Wakeman... The Hitman's Bodyguard is nowhere near as funny as it should be.
