User ReviewSusannah KGreat film, could watch it over and over again
User ReviewAmanda MIf theirs a part two, most definitely would watch it with my family. We love the culture, traditions, most of all the folktales.
User ReviewZane dThe visual and art is beautiful. The story of two brothers going back again to the human world to help is pretty interesting and very touching. And a stellar cast to boot, you think it's going to be great. Not really so much. The one thing that is drawing me away from enjoying this great movie is the cringey US voice dubbing. It's mediocre and poorly done. Bella Thorne is the main one to point out. She sounds so monotone and forced and not to mention she doesn't even sound like however the child is. It's pretty sad. I would most likely enjoy this movie far better in it's native tongue with subtitles.
User ReviewCharlie PImpressive background animation and cool Samurai Jack inspired setpieces, ultimately cannot save this trainwreck of an English Dub. Thanks to the infamous editing of the Weinstien brothers once again, The Guardian Brothers is filled with everything wrong with mainstream animation such as cringeworthy jokes, annoying characters, terrible lip-syching and an overuse of pop songs. It's a shame that this film's admittably interesting ideas about The Spirit World's realtionship with the Real World and the character development of the brothers themselves, is sidelined for pointless subplots and terrible renditions of Kung-Fu Fighting and Never Gonna Dance Again. Overall, this awful dub is further evidence on why The Weinstien Company should STAY AWAY from all foregien animation
User ReviewNick DStory was interesting enough, but that has to be the worst voice acting I ever heard. Edward Norton should be ashamed to put his name on it. And he wasn't even the worst voice actor in the film. All in all it had potential to be way better had the voice actors actually cared about the story and did more than one cut.
User ReviewSleepy HThe voice actors and the soundtrack of this movie were awful and distracting, and the story is kind of scrambled
