In 1961 former Nazi Adolf Eichmann is captured by Jewish agents and put on trial. American television producer Milton Fruchtman fervently believes that the trial with its witness accounts of Nazi atrocities should be televised to show the world the evils of the Holocaust and to combat any resurgence of Nazism and joins forces with black-listed director Leo Hurwitz. Despite death threats, reluctance to cooperate from several networks and even resistance from the Israeli prime minister David Ben-Gurion, who fears a 'show trial', the pair persist and move their cameras into the court-room. Edited daily and shown in some three dozen countries the 'Eichmann Show' becomes the first ever global television documentary.

Japan Times - 6/10 by Kaori ShojiThere's much to ponder here, such as the moral issues involved in turning a historical event that inflicted untold damage to the human race into a televised "show," however nobly intended.
User Review - 10/10 by Stuart MA must-see. Some criticise that the complexity of the elements of this particular period of history should not be made into this type of a movie - why not??? Watch for those arrogant as well as "too artistic" reviewers who are trying to comment for the sake of showing off their unconventional thought process, self- portraying that they are the most credible source of information. It is a good film. It's not too long and not too short. Its foundation is based on a good concept to use a bit of a different plot (still based on a true story) to get the audience interested in a very important period in our history. Some real footage has been used, which has added to the authenticity of the presented issues. Interesting, easy to follow, trigerring existential thoughts, moving, pulling out deepest emotions, showing an authentic side to the psychopathic mind, with some good acting. In the realm of this decade's popular cinematography where a lot of fictional with weak plots films gain 90% of the positive votes, this film should be seen as a priority. I'd be surprised if there was one person that would walk out without contemplating on the aspects of psychopathy, empathy and human race. And that's what films should do - trigger such thoughts. There is no doubt this one does.
User Review - 8/10 by Darren WTerrific untold story of the televised trial of Adolf Eichmann the designed of the Third Reich's Final Solution where they murdered 6 million people, more than 400,000 of them children
User Review - 8/10 by Carlos MThere are millions of stories which can still be told from the time during2nd World War, some even in my family. But they are usually stories of great pain and suffering. Story of Eichmann was one of the first which considered justice for the monstrous crime which took place and to which for many years despite stories, despite evidence millions of people did not want to believe. The Eichmann Show is a recognition of how these stories begun to be believable and as shocking as reality. This movie tells in great detail how the whole trial came to be and how slowly but even more painfully the stories came alive. Movie itself unfolds emotions in a similar way which they have been probably felt during the trial in the first and most visible recognition of justice after the war.
User Review - 8/10 by Josep PBehind story of a historical event's TV documentation. This BBC film was based on the actual event that took place in the early 60s, Jerusalem. About televising the trial from a courtroom, which was the first ever documentary series to broadcast. One of a top Nazi officer, Adolf Eichmann, who fled during the end of world war two and settled down in the South America, but brought back with the help of Mossad to Israel to face the war crime charges. The movie won't demonstrate all those in the picture, but it begins with the television production house preparing to shoot the important television event in the history. So the show begins, but a boring first half and the next half is where all the interesting stuffs happen. In my prediction this movie with the powerful contents would have easily beaten the 'The Imitation Game', if it was produced grandly and commercialised a bit of narration for the worldwide market. The real video clips of the trial were merged into the movie and that gave a strong effect which allows to realise how those actual occurrences has taken place. Actually, there are some uncensored cuts, which were shocking and disturbing. So pretty much like a semi-documentary, but due to the majority of movie clips that shot with actors and in the sets, it feels like a TV movie as it should be. "While he watches the footage, we'll be watching him. Only then will we see the real Eichmann." The performances were ordinary, because the screenplay preferred the main event to display, not the characters and their lifestyle. That makes it is not a biographical picture, though both the lead men were pretty impressive. We had seen many world war 2 and related to it movies, but this one was a different. Because of the story was set 15 years after the end of war. Simple movie, no twists, no developments, but reveals the facts from a different dimension. Because of this show, people around the world and filmmakers understood the cruelty of the Nazi prison camp. The movies those came afterwards about this war were inspired by the events that discussed in the courtroom. So if you are planning for this, expect it to be as what the title says, not a bit more or less. 8/10
