We Got This CoveredMatt DonatoThe Drownsman is a fresh concept, but can we really be scared by a monster who could be lurking in a water bottle?
Reel Film ReviewsDavid NusairThe seemingly endless climactic stretch confirms The Drownsman's place as a rather worthless homegrown endeavor...

User ReviewTravis HThis film is what you get when you mix water with Freddy Kruger a true scare fest that will drown you in terror.
User ReviewBill BSome original concepts at play in the lore of the story, but the film itself couldn't be more paint-by-numbers.
User ReviewQuincy THere we have an '80s throwback slasher flick where instead of teens being afraid of dreaming (a la "A Nightmare on Elm Street"), these gal pals are terrified of water and anything that might hold it (a bathtub, bottle, sink or washing machine) because the slimy ghost of a serial killer will try to drown them. What is supposed to be hyrdrophobic hell becomes kind of a giggle as bad millennial actresses get scared when someone drinks from a water bottle in an elevator or it starts to rain. If you love '80s horror and think a protracted version of that bathtub scene in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" sounds like a great idea, take a big swig of this soggy aqua-bogeyman flick.
