Chicago Reader - 7/10 by Dave KehrA sci-fi thriller (1963) that sticks in the mind, thanks to deft pacing and a vividly paranoid premise.
Kansas City Kansan - 6/10 by Steve CrumThe plants are marchin'! Hero Keel then overwaters them.
Kalamazoo Gazette - 4/10 by James SanfordTerror comes to full bloom in a sci-fi classic
User Review - 10/10 by Tori MWhile much of the earth's population is blinded by a brilliant meteor shower, small plants called triffids undergo horrifying mutations causing them to grow, acquire mobility, and feed on humans
User Review - 10/10 by Tom DStill a great scare, and one of the few films starring the great Howard Keel that WASN'T a musical!! The sound the Triffids make still sends shivers down my spine!! A must-see!!
User Review - 10/10 by Johanna MThis movie is great! It has the most classic ending of any 60's movie ever made. I used to check T.V.listings and set the alarm if it was on the late, late movie.

User Review - 10/10 by JoEy MThis is another great movie!!!! Mayb old, but it has everything!!!! Suspence, gore (a lil bit) And a bit of humour. Surprisingly the special effects are good!!!
User Review - 10/10 by Missa SMy mom used to have this movie, so I watched it as a kid. It's one of the first horror movies I watched and I was hooked. The sound effects they used to signify that the Triffids were moving was a little odd, but a smart idea. And because I was a kid, I didn't mind that the special effects weren't so great because I still had an imagination. lol.
