HorrorNews.netMichelle SwopeTame horror you can watch with the whole family.
Los Angeles TimesNoel MurrayWhile the cast is talented and the tone is classy, The Charnel House never develops any momentum. The movie puts fright on the back burner to tease out a mystery that proves to be too profoundly idiotic to be worth all the bother.
Film Journal InternationalMaitland McDonaghThe Charnel House doesn't break any conspicuously new ground, but the setting is distinctive.
The Seattle TimesTom KeoghThe Charnel House is watchable, even if you can tell very soon what’s really going on behind mysterious doings.
The Hollywood OutsiderAaron PetersonThe Charnel House is an intriguing thriller with a novel concept, carried forward by a bold and focused performance from its lead.
User ReviewdmeganlaudThe Charnel House is a really interesting and original story. It's refreshing for a movie of this genre as it does not contain demons, exorcisms, or simply slashing people for cheap thrills. It contains a highly talented cast (who are also remarkable attractive) including a lot of up and comers.
User ReviewKaren LThis looks like a movie that will get in your head & stay with you for a while
User ReviewCornelius HThis is a compelling, spooky and -- unusual for the genre -- smart film. Callum Blue as the protagonist and Mackenzie Moss as his daughter put out exceptionally strong performances. The story is based somewhat on the traditional ghost-thriller structure but with several unusual twists. The central idea of a former slaughterhouse transformed into pricey lofts gives the movie the perfect set-up for a high octane haunted house setting. There is violence (and some blood to go along with it) but its not excessive and is obviously not the central theme of the story. The Charnel House is definitely worth a watch!
