| User ReviewTomas RA true testament to horrors of war, human nature and suffering. Beautiful photography, Karel Roden a Zuzana Bydzovska could not serve as better mediums through which the viewer can feel emotions, love and sheer desperation of these two and remaining 308 innocent Czechs murdered. Perhaps just because of that, and knowledge of this story, I found myself in constant fight with my urge to turn this nightmare off. At the end, I finished conclusion of Lidice, beautiful but hard to swallow story and was left with emptiness and sorrows. All too often, we take our lives for granted and this movie will forever remind me how precious the moments lived in peace and surrounded by people that one can love. |
| User ReviewKenneth YI just finished watching this movie and I can say that is one of the best I've seen in my life. Everything is great: the history, the scenery, the shots. It's a very raw film, with a highly dramatic last 40 minutes, showing the harsh reality that the habitants of Lidice lived during the events of World War II. If you like movies based on World War II you'll simply love it, if not, you should see it anyway. |
