For Amanda Deter and her friends, life seems to be going great. Until one night when they cross paths with a mysterious vagrant, who warns them, a terrible evil is coming. The group disregards his warnings as nothing but drunken nonsense. But the next day when they find the vagrant dead, it is already to late to heed his warnings... | User ReviewLee MBadly filmed, bad acting. Why was she saved by the worse douche of all, the worst of the actors?? I'll never understand. The vampire gore was nicely done, even with the speed of the vampires. Wished they went a little more into the whole vampire scenario or even with storyline than just a bunch of them running about without the neighborhood waking up. :/ But it's staying in my collection. |
| User ReviewTrevor CIt's so funny when you see the transition from impressive opening titles with equally impressive opening music become a crappily filmed independent film that isn't worth a second of your time. On one side, this movie is extremely funny because it's so bad in nearly every way. The writing, the camera work, the acting. It's completely amateur. But if you sit back and enjoy it as something that you recognize from the start as being a piece of crap, then there's much more there to entertain. Also, from what I recall, there isn't a single vampire in the film that looks like the one featured on the film's poster/DVD cover. There are no bats in the film at all, if I recall correctly, and as impressive as the opening titles were - they had absolutely nothing to do with the movie... unless of course there was some sort of unknown backstory that we never see in this film and it takes place in some ancient, well lit castle library. It's so hilariously bad that it isn't a movie you watch on your own. You have to watch it at a party with a bunch of your friends so that you enjoy the film's crappiness with everyone. If you're a filmmaker, like I am, this will definitely make you feel better about your work. I, and pretty much all my other filmmaker friends, were making stuff like this when we were still in middle school. Don't let the festival awards fool you - this movie is a piece of crap. A (unintentionally) hilarious piece of crap. |
