| User ReviewChristopher BBloody & violent, this is a story of unbridled greed. Contains torture, rape, betrayals, thievery, and a generally evil dude. Early in his career, Katsu-san threw himself into portraying this highly unlikable blind-man by spending several weeks observing/mimicking actual blind people. This training served him well as he was later cast as the mythic anti-hero, Zatoichi. |
| User ReviewDylan WOh wow, this was great. Better than I expected. A blind masseur is a really bad man. Shintaro Katsu, is, of course the Zatoichi actor. Here he plays a mirror character. My only problem was that it wasn't long enough and the ending felt rushed. The film is beautiful and the writing is surprising and funny. |
