Los Angeles Times - 8/10 by Michael RechtshaffenA compelling bit of family drama that packs a corrosive punch.
We Got This Covered - 8/10 by Alexander LoweIt's a honest and heartfelt look at the lines that society draws and the consequences of crossing them.
Seattle Times - 8/10 by Moira MacDonaldAustralian actress Adelaide Clemens shines in Justin Lerner's nicely paced indie drama/thriller.
Variety - 7/10 by Dennis HarveyThis arresting seriocomedy deftly walks a tightrope between droll and tense, over a gaping pit of crazy.
Chicago Reader - 6/10 by Leah PickettWriter-director Justin Lerner and cowriter Katharine O'Brien use silence as much as careful dialogue to spin a hypnotic narrative from difficult subject matter.
CraveOnline - 6/10 by William BibbianiThere's very little to even be passionate about in this film that was, ostensibly, all about passion.
Movie Nation - 5/10 by Roger MooreWinds up a thoughtful puzzle of a movie that doesn’t stand up to much scrutiny, a slice of Southern Gothic displaced into rural, redneck New York that loses something in the geographic translation.
The Hollywood Reporter - 5/10 by Sheri LindenLerner alternates between well-observed character detail and clunky mystery-solving developments.
User Review - 10/10 by ProspectPatI found this movie to be incredibly engrossing. I created a profile just to rate this movie because I wanted to share my experience. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, emotionally. There were moments when I found myself truly holding my breath. I found Adelaide Clemens role to be incredibly believable. This is one of those movies that I just sat there and thought as the end credits rolled. Great story line and acting culminated in a very authentic experience for me. Its the next day and this movie is still in my head. I cant remember the last time a movie has challenged the way I view something to this extent.
