Set in 18th century Ireland, the 'Abduction Club' is an infamous gang of men who woo, abduct, and marry wealthy heiresses. Garrett Byrne and James Strang are both younger sons and therefore unable to inherit titles or estates. The beautiful and wealthy Kennedy sisters are the targets, and possibly not wholly opposed to the idea of marrying our heroes, Byrne and Strang, but their keen wits and sharp-tongued barbs certainly put the young fortune-hunting enthusiasts in their place. But all is not as it seems, and amidst much dashing and derring-do perhaps true love will reign triumphant? |
