The 8th Plague is the story of a woman named Launa who is investigating the disappearance of her sister, Nikki. Nikki had gone camping in the mountain town of Halcyon Springs and never came back. Becoming more and more frustrated, Launa realizes that she must find her sister on her own with the help of Mason, a mysterious local man with a shadowed past. Their search leads them to an abandoned prison called Halcyon Ridge Correctional Facility. Very soon after arriving within the stone and steel walls they are exposed to an ancient evil that had been lying dormant until its recent disturbance. Subsequently they learn the terrible truth about what happened to Nikki as well as the impending plague of darkness that intends to spread and reclaim the world.

I must admit, things don't start getting exciting until about thirty minutes in, but DO NOT TURN IT OFF!!! You won't want to miss a thing! the quality is definately not state-of-the-art but it adds to the mood of this film. Repeat: A MUST WATCH for gore-lovers. |

| User ReviewJohn TPretty good. It's an indie flick, but it looks great. The cinematography is amazing. It has the feel of a zombie flick, but it's about an evil that infects people. If you look at the demon's symbol you become infected and kill people. It's pretty good. Much better than I thought it'd be. |

| User ReviewAndrew TI understand a low budget but this movie is just awful. I have seen far better low budget movies. The camera is all over the place, constantly moving, cutting to closeups and back quickly, never using a good angle; I just felt dizzy the whole time. The sound was equally as bad. The acting is pretty terrible and theres absolutely no character development. I could give a bigger crap that everyone is dying. A lot of reviews said the lead girl was good but i dont agree. Your just found your sister dead, show some emotion please. The only saving grace is the gore and how well it was done. Real blood is always so much better than CG blood. I will always finish a movie once started but this one was just so very hard to sit through. |
