Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzI give it a pass for being so goofy and entertaining and irresistible.
User ReviewScott CTarzan fights everyone in this movie, Arabs, Nazi's and even giant spiders. He must cross the desert to obtain a secret medicine. And Jane is away and Tarzan is running around with another girl in this movie, As far as Tarzan movies go its near the top, though the giant spider was a little cheap in appearance. 4 stars 3-28-12
User ReviewJason JTarzan versus the Arabs, complete with wacky turban-stealing fun. Also, giant lizard, giant spider, giant man-eating plant. These movies are awesome on so many levels. I miss Jane.
User ReviewAllan CTarzan and Boy meet a magician entertaining troops in North Africa, Nancy Kelly, on her way to warn a sheik about evil Nazi plans to steal horses. Tarzan and Boy are wrongfully put in jail for stealing the horses, but break out to stop the evil Nazi plan. It's the usual Tarzan nonsense you'd expect, but it's all quite enjoyable, which includes giant lizards, killer spiders, and a man-eating plant. Top that all off with Hollywood WWII propaganda and this is something of a bizarre must-see film for it's era. Otto Kruger also appears in the film (as a Nazi, of course).
User ReviewWes SIt's a steady, charming, old-fashion fun Tarzan movie. The plot isn't the best, the characters are a bit chalky, and the animal-companions do get a little annoying.
User ReviewDan SCheta steals turbans, elephants rescue Tarzan from a man-eating plant, and a giant spider devours the Nazi villain!
User ReviewJustin REntertaining adventure with Tarzan and Boy crossing the desert to find the 'fever medicine jungle' inhabited by stock footage of enlarged reptiles and a giant spider! A plot involving a foreign agent and the murder of a Sheikh's son fill out the 67 minutes. Nancy Kelly replaces Maureen O'Sullivan, this time Jane is nursing sick soldiers, as a travelling magician on a secret mission for a neighbouring sheikh.
User ReviewDuncan WIn a nice continuation of the Jane away in London arc tarzan must cross the desrt to retrieve the fever medicine he used on Boy a few movies back (i never realised they had such continuity until i watched them in order) to help aid suffering soldiers that Jane is tending as a nurse. a nice chnage of scenery and some fun with cheetah all add up to a great matinee movie. there is some mad stuff with giant lizards and spiders but this just adds to the enjoyment.
User ReviewPaul DAside from the exaggerated storyline, there's some strange animals and fauna in this one that don't exist in the modern world!
