User Review - 10/10 by Kathleen KSaw the premier tonight and what an amazing movie. Acting was excellent, story line classic and moving. This will be a hit and best seller at the box office I am sure.
User Review - 8/10 by Jim JBased off of the size and "pretty boy" look of the main character, its obvious that this would only happen in a movie. Besides that aspect, i think this was a great revenge film based on a son who lost his parents early on, and get his shot at revenge. Worth the rent at redbox if ur into fight/revenge movies
User Review - 8/10 by Marvin KAnother MMA film but with a different story. The karate kid (Michael) is seeking justice not revenge. Good ending. Good acting. The kissing scenes are okay.
User Review - 6/10 by Kenneth OA decent movie that reminds me of Never Back Down.
User Review - 6/10 by Anand KTapped Out a movie about a young man that looses his parents at the ages of 12 and goes on a massive rebellion streak till he finds himself back into his dad's friends Karate dojo and for a lack of a better term finds his balance once again. He find the killer of his parents still alive and prospering as a MMA fighter for a local show. Then goes on a mission to bring back justice. This movie has a firm storyline that keeps you connected and your focused as much as the fighter is on the fight you are on the movie. The movie has some great MMA stars such as Krzysztof Soszynski playing as the evil guy also have the two ex UFC champs Anderson "The Spider" Silva & Lyoto Machida as MMA trainers and yes Anderson The Spider Silva speaks a few words of English in this movie. For you fight fans MMA and UFC fans alike you have to give this movie a go its really well done for a lower A class movie. Ohh and it also has some Karate Kid references also has Martin Kove the sensai of the Corba Ki in the movie as the Principal of the school the young man goes too. Not suitable for the kiddies has a tendency to be a tad too violent. I enjoyed it.
User Review - 6/10 by David TWARNING MY REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS: Karate Kid meets Dark Knight meets Rocky Entertaining movie about a kid who witnesses the death of his parents in a carjacking gone bad - similar to the batman story. Only difference is that the killer doesn't know the kid witnesses it. The kid then trains for an MMA tournament to battle against his parent's murderer. That's the rocky part - the running, weights, boxing, mat wrestling, etc. The karate kid part if the one that endures from beginning through till the end. Nothing original about the story since its a lot like Never Back Down and the 3 movie franchises just mentioned. It also has a David vs Goliath appeal since that's extremely apparent in the climax of the movie. Michael Biehn is the only known actor.. This is your typical 'happy ending' type movie. who cares whether it seems unrealistic to the point of being fantastic.
User Review - 4/10 by Bruno VNot exactly the Karate Kid.....not by a long shot.
