| User ReviewConrad TIt's silly and off-the-wall, but the pacing is great, the twists are plenty, and the chemistry between the nearly-polar-opposite best friends is great. For an 80-minute comedy about escaping drug dealers and making it to a hip-hop extravaganza, it has enough heart and depth of characters to make it a worthwhile watch. Chester Tam's first feature as writer/director is a great start! |
| User ReviewCamille LTake the 10 démarre comme une comédie débile vue et revue avant de se transformer en un hybride de Clerks avec une narration éclatée à la Pulp Fiction, au casting multi-ethnique et très télévisuel. Chester Tam se donne la part du lion dans sa première réalisation et son second rôle d'antagoniste en plein trouble émotionnel donne à Take the 10 ses meilleurs moments. Ce serait dénigrer l'excellent reste du casting (hormis Josh Peck) de ne pas les signaler, mais Tam est vraiment la tête et les épaules au-dessus du reste. Un poil longuet, mais généreux et esthétiquement plutôt joli, Take the 10 n'augure que du bon pour la suite de la carrière de son auteur. |

| User ReviewSteven SI was just happy to see Tony Revolori in something else. I was entertained but I wasn't proud to enjoy it. Kevin Corrigan, Paul McCrane, also great to see again, and Carlos Alazraqui was very funny. There is a lot of comedy about latent homosexuality every few minutes, and it was actually a pretty good running joke how often the characters seemed to be dependent on porn. Not sure what it all means, but I had fun and the plot wasn't without its surprises. |
