EricDSnider.comEric D. SniderA self-serious cheese-fest ... utterly worthless as an actual film, but quite entertaining as an object of derision.
Reel Film ReviewsDavid NusairNot only is Taboo completely inept and ludicrous, but it's pointless and boring.
User ReviewPrivate UMore or less an OK film with some of the actors shining. The lead actress wasn't that good. Especially on that scene where she reveals that she's acually a half sister...
User ReviewPris Wvery suspensful stay close and pay attention
User ReviewHayley Bits been a long time since i watched it but its always stuck with me enjoyable film
User Reviewnaralyn dThis movie was super reminiscent of that old 80's horror "April Fools Day". I sort of was figuring that was the way it was going part way thru the deaths. Ok so after that is all revealed what is this bizarre twist where people are actually being murdered. That was lame. They could have ended it all differently rather than killing off every character. It was an ok way to pass an hour and a half of my life. Not to mention I got to stare at Nick Stahl who is super cute.
User ReviewMax CThis is really cheesy but had a good cast, I like Nick Stahl. It kept me relatively interested.
User ReviewAmber Fnot really scary and i get scared super easy
| User ReviewJeremy KDirected by Max Mackowski Written by Chris Fisher Genre: Horror/Mystery/Thriller MPAA: Rated R for language, sexual content and some violence Runtime: 80 minutes Plot Summary: A seemingly inconistent game of "Taboo" brings out the vile secrets and sexual desires from a group of six college graduates at a remote mansion where one of them flips out and proceeds to kill the rest in the manner of their secrets. - IMDB I have seen this film twice now. The first time I believed it to be hilarious, in a so-bad-it's-good sort of way. And I felt as if the filmmakers knew that. On second viewing, I am 100% sure that this film is actually trying to be good. And of course it fails miserably. It is poorly written and acted. Its only saving grace is that it is only 80 minutes long. Why *1/2, you ask? Well, if you watch it with friends in MST3K-mode, it is highly enjoyable. Do not watch it alone (do homework instead). If you like Taboo, you might also like... - The Skulls (Rob Cohen, 2000) - Luke McNamara, a college senior from a working class background joins a secret elitist college fraternity organization called "The Skulls." - IMDB - R.S.V.P. | User ReviewJames HWhat a stupid ass movie. Not well acted, a ridiculous plot, uninvolving. I had a hard time staying interested, it was just so ludicrous. A waste of time. Avoid this one. So much of it makes no sense, and it wasn't worth trying to figure out. |
