A bunch of lazy and unmotivated schoolgirls are thrown into the extracurricular music club of their school and not exactly voluntarily. They are trying to cut out the hard stuff - yes, mathematics - and become the replacement crew for the actual musicians in the school club, but slowly come into their own as they learn to handle the instruments and themselves better. | User ReviewDing LWhen i first started to watch this, i thought it was a silly high school movie. But i could not stop watching. I am glad i didnt. this was Great! A feel good type of movie. It had spurts of comedy that made me laugh hard. especially when the guy on the bike rolled down the hill. Awesome. |

The struggles of these self centred obnoxious high school girls cracks me up, and I like that Shinobu didn't caricature them to become totally annoying or idiotic. As childish as they are, they are also empathetic and determined, and that's why their journey is so enjoyable to witness. There are some random sequences thrown in which really add nothing to the film but are nevertheless hilarious and the music is so heartwarming at the end. It was such a thrilling and satisfying climax and I never tire of it. Ah, I just love it, love it love it. Now somebody please change the poster, the movie's Japanese dammit! |
