User Review - 10/10 by Sathi SThis movie played in Diego theaters for what felt like EVER, I rolled my eyes and thought another mohabbatein type movie; why waste my time. While home for the holidays the video store uncle recommended it, I thought sure 'time pass' movie. Boy was I in for a surprise! I absolutely loved this movie. Rishi Kapoor's role was the most 'left field' of all his career, the 2 new guys Karan introduced were simply HOT and the lessons about love, family and friendship priceless! A must see!

User Review - 8/10 by Mahesh PThis movie is all about its music. Amazing compositions by Vishal and Shekhar. Alia Bhatt truly impressed in the small role she was given. This would have been a lot more appealing had her role been expanded a bit, which would have given more depth to the narrative. Both leads Sid Malhotra and Varun Dhawan were solid, however their friendship seems a bit rushed and unexplained in the beginning. Script lacks that powerful bang that Karan Johar's movies normally offer though...not enough drama. It seems like another layer to the story of the competition and more time spent on how it ruined the relationships of the characters would have taken the story a lot further. However, an enjoyable experience in all.
