User ReviewDillon OThe editing and acting are superb. You keep wondering if it is real or not.
User ReviewBill EThis is a well done film, brilliantly realistic, had me hanging on the edge of my seat the whole time. Great film style shooting in beautiful Chicago. It was really interesting to watch the little tricks he uses to gain an edge. Wish they would bring Kasper back and make a sequel.
User ReviewJack DI loved it. Best film about what a real burglar's life is like. The filmmakers really did their homework. Trust me!!
User ReviewScandinavian SOne of the realest documentaries I've seen. This man is an ingenious smooth criminal.
User ReviewJim LThis is one of the best movies I have seen in the past few years. It is overlooked and from my perspective it fits the definition of a sleeper. I am amazed that this movie didn't get more buzz when it came out and that it didn't get the pick-up that you would expect from a brilliant film. The acting in the movie is amazing and the overall film is brilliant! I think if this movie had come out these days of social media and the amount of exposure a film can get through festivals like SXSW, it would have been a huge hit and been picked-up by a major distributor, rather than purchased by a cable company. That being said, you have to see this film. If you enjoyed movies like The Imposter or Compliance, you will LOVE this film! I STRONGLY recommended this movie as a MUST SEE for anyone that has not seen it yet! Update: I watched this film again on Netflix and loved it even more the 2nd time. I really am amazed that this movie didn't get more hype and exposure. This is the problem with the film industry, unless you are somewhat known, networked with the big money guys, or hit a lucky home run, you are stuck. Because there are so many bad indie films it is hard to break through. I wish this film had been seen by more people - it is BRILLIANT!!!
User ReviewDavid BI thought this movie was real when I saw it. I didn't find out til years later that it wasn't real. Apparently, it is based on real criminal activities possibly committed by one of the writers which is what makes it so fascinating and controversial. I watched it when it came out and went back and saw it again just recently...
User ReviewFawwaz Si was so convinced it was real documentary. I found it was not real and Malik Bader was Kaspar Carr. All and all is a well good script, acting, and camera movement. Kudos Malik you got me fooled.
