Albert Steptoe and his son Harold are junk dealers, complete with horse and cart to tour the neighbourhood. They also live amicably together at the junk yard. But Harold, who likes the bright lights in the West End of London, meets a stripper. Fine, but he marries her and takes her home. | User ReviewRussell SIt's rare to see a really good movie version of a television sitcom but this is just superb. The writing is as solid as ever, the story works perfectly, the construction is great...I can't praise it enough. Some elements may seem a little dated and un-PC but it's a product of it's time. Better than most British comedy movies of today. |
