Kansas City KansanSteve CrumSeems like a Mel Brooks farce, but it's a Yorkin! Pretty zany.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzThe film flopped at the box office, but years later scored as a cult hit on video when Wilder's popularity grew.
User ReviewWendy KThis has to be one of my favorite movies EVER. And one that I quote most often.
User ReviewBill BHilarious film, Gene Wilder at some of his finest!
User ReviewZayne RNarrarator Orson Welles puts it best when he says "It is a color film...which I am not in." Funny. Clever. Quotable. All things that make up a good comedy are included. "Later That Night, 1789..."
User ReviewSiobhán MGene Wilder is so funny, this has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
User ReviewPrivate UI grew up with this movie. My mom and I constantly quote it.
User ReviewEmily Kpossibly the FUNNIEST movie ever! even compared to the python ones. i love this movie. i've seen it multiple times and haven't stopped laughing! "Kill Escargot!"
User ReviewAdam DThis movie is a big part of the reason why i love my parents so much. No description could really do it justice, just watch it. Proof that Donald Sutherland is so much cooler than his son, Gene Wilder is his awesome self, 'nuff said.
User ReviewBenjamin SMost of you think you'd know after watching Monty Python but you have no idea how funny this movie is. I'm surprised this film never made it big especially since it was released before all of Mel Brooks films. Gene Wilder and Donald Sutherland are hilarious together and the entire film is nonstop laughs from beginning to end. Its Blazing Saddles meets A tale of two cities and I dare say better than Monty Python why it didn't become a classic is beyond me.
