Movie ChambersPaul ChambersJust enough action to keep it interesting.
Daily Telegraph (UK)Tim RobeyGang's-all-here drama about dodgy London business interests - basically rubbish, often chucklesome.
GuardianPhelim O'NeillThe script becomes clumsier and cornier as it goes on, and Harper's direction, while competent, lacks the skill to disguise his many attempts to wrongfoot the viewer.
The Sun (UK)Grant RollingsMore like being nuzzled by a bulldog than mauled by one.
London Evening StandardCharlotte O'SullivanThis whole caper is about as gritty as a babywipe.
Movie TalkJason BestThe film looks good, thanks to cinematographer Mike Southon's stylish camerawork, but the script is well dodgy.
Total FilmStephen KellyNot even the formidable presence of Charles Dance can salvage a script this woeful.
User ReviewScott MReally good movie, plenty action, some top british actors great gangster/heist flick.
User ReviewMarc Ringland RI was not quite sure what to expect from this movie but I enjoy most films if they centre around Britain for a change. However, this film disappointed me. I watched this film with my bird and we both found the plot a little difficult to understand. We know it's a gangster film but that's about as far as it goes. I can't really add more than this. As for the ending of the movie I was left confused as to what the hell had just happened and why the film was ending. I feel giving this film a 3 star in the first place is a bit generous.
User ReviewGodwin JFrank Harper must have had some dirt on Charles Dance, how the fuck did he end up in this piece of shit? In certain scenes I'm not sure if homage was been paid to The Sopranos and Goodfellas or was it blatantly ripping them off. Terrible dialogue and a plot that is all over the place. The diamond heist also reminded me of a Christmas special of Only Fools and Horses. That aside, I found it to be that bad it was watchable.
