User ReviewAJ VSaw this movie in the theater. A well constructed ensemble cast really gets to the deeper meaning of what it is means to grow up. Funny in parts and makes you reflect on your own childhood. This movie is worth watching just for the history teacher, Cap. It's reminiscent of American Pie but with an indy flair.
User ReviewBo SHilarious! This film ranks up there with any of the classic comedies released in the past decade. Patrick Warburton was masterful as the school janitor, and the ensemble cast interacted superbly. Rochester natives might spot familiar locations, but "Sophomore," sometimes-heartfelt, sometimes disgusting, and uproariously funny, is enjoyable no matter where you are from.
User ReviewDave GGreat movie! If you haven't seen (or heard of) it yet, make it a point to go to the Little and check it out. Tim L. Biedeck's second movie - also filmed in Rochester - is a heartfelt look into the adventures of adolescence. Sophmore adds a twist of humor and a splash of uncomfortable situations on the school-centric, coming of age movies such as Dazed and Confused and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There is no doubt you'll leave the theater with a smile on your face.
