The professor's wife being away, gives them an opportunity for having a grand old time. The girls, however, refuse to go to the Smithy home unless some female member of the family be present as chaperone. Smithy bribes the butler to wear his wife's clothes, and they make him up as a grandmother. The party is in the height of its sereneness, when wifey returns unexpectedly, demands that the butler return her clothes, dons them, and enters the gymnasium, where the party is indulging in a hilarious repast. Smithy recognizes his wife immediately and makes a break for the door, but she gets him, and gently but firmly thrusts him into the bathtub filled with cold water. The whole affair being cold, the guests leave in an unexpected manner.
