User ReviewPaul DThe found footage horror genre is one of my favorites! When done well, it can scare the living daylights out of you! When done badly however it can be tedious and dry like a conveyor belt of dry toast! Thankfully Mr Schelenz knows his craft and has created a standout example of this fine genre! No sooner are the films characters on their "journey', than the freaky starts to happen! And i mean freaky! It's the kind of thing where you have to pause, rewind and replay a segment a few times to make sure you're not going nuts! This is a well oiled horror machine leaving you questioning your sanity to the last frame! You'd have to be mad to miss it!
User ReviewBrenda HA great find. Not knowing anything about this and catching it by pure accident, I was pleasantly surprised. It plays out more like a slow drama with elements of horror and then changes half-ways through to a psychological ride.
User ReviewMat SIf you can muster the patience to watch it, Skew is very entertaining. There is only one camera, three people and a host of weird stuff that make this a little gem. Problem is, in places it's very slow going. But the jumps are good and the ghosts are creepy. Not a bad film at all!
User ReviewBill RYou have to have some patience for this movie but it has an eerie feel to it. There is only one camera and three people throughout it all, sounds boring? but just go with it. Made me jump a few and I was pleased with the over all effect. On a side note, I am also sayin Hi! to everyone. I've been gone a long time and for those that rememver me I wonder if your all there. Anyway. Later.!
User ReviewVance BAlthough a bit slow, I believe that's part of the charm as when the horror hits, it shocks you and makes you feel uncomfortable. Had to research a bit to get the ending but quite enjoyed it.
User ReviewPablo PI like films that don't give things away, they keep you guessing, like putting together the pieces of a puzzle. They keep you entertained because they make you think and that's a lot of fun. You feel you must pay attention to everything and every word because it could be a clue. That's why I liked Skew. Clever dialog, good acting, decent camera work and a plot that develops in a way that you can't wait for the next scene. Don't miss it.
User ReviewJohn BReally dug this movie. Starts off a bit slow but more than makes up for it by the time it ends. Definitely more a psychological thriller than horror. It really makes you think and I like that about it. I heard it was made in 2005, before all these other found footage films recently. Putting that into perspective, too bad it suffers from being part of this overdone genre. Wonder why it just got released now?
User ReviewAl MOne of the better "found footage" movies.
User ReviewJimmy HNot bad I suppose for something this low budget but a very slow paced movie and the ending was lame.
User ReviewYvonne Gok so far just the opening had to pause just to really READ and understand before going on....wish me luck! and trailers to dvd were like wtf trippy
