Common Sense MediaBrian CostelloFantasy mixes with emotionally intense family drama.
Patrick NabarroPJ NabarroI can't help but feel if the film hadn't been quite so reverent to its source material, it could have fashioned a more distinctive end-result.
BrianOrndorf.comBrian OrndorfEven though I haven't had the honor of reading his book, I'm fairly sure Almond deserves an apology for this film.

User ReviewThe JAbsolutely loved this film! I read the book when I was in secondary school and never got round to watching the film so I finally have and I have gotta say, the film was better than the book but saying that, it was quite a few years ago that I read it so I may have forgotten how detailed it was/wasn't.
User ReviewMo RWas worried it sick but kids and everyone loved it was really good
User ReviewDaniel GCan't find fault with it lol, I really can't. The film has a slightly slow/steady pace but that isn't a problem to be honest. It seems to suit it pretty well. Loved Tim Roth in this. Can relate to his character in a way. He delivered a great performance too. I loved Skellig. Overall, pretty good movie. Might have to go check out the book.
User Reviewboring bAbsolutely perfect cast. Tim Roth & John Simm, what could be better!
User ReviewJude Luneven film. worth it for the beautiful poignant moments. roth embodies skellig with such belief it inspires the audience to believe, too, even if it's only momentarily. milner and simm pull off son and father relationship & macdonald shines as usual.
