Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonVery much at the level of quality you'd predict and anticipate for a direct-to-video slasher sequel from 1989.
User ReviewKayla KI didnt really enjoy this one coming off of part 2 this was completely different. There were no really violent death scenes and I felt it went really slow. I am glad that Ricky Caldwell is back next stop Silent Night Deadl Night Part 4. Is it live or is it memorex what a weird line.
User ReviewChristopher SIt's a pretty good late 1980s slasher. Bill Moseley with a huge transparent bowl on his head that exposes his brain is a huge reel-in right there. What's even better is how he walks around on the highway with said bowl & hospital gown....& no one really notices! He's the same Ricky from Part 2 aka Garbage Day! but every time it shows a flashback, it shows young Billy from the first one. Well, there is an instance where it shows young Ricky from the first one when the cop guns down the wrong Santa. Perhaps the filmmakers confused the two. Continuity hasn't been 100% accurate in this series anyway. And Laura Herring gets her tits out & Chris flashes around his Hagar-hair. And the main girl is blind but hella cute. Robert Culp stars as the vetern cop who actually refers to his wang as "the snake" when he has to get out of his car to take a leak. I was saddened at Granny's death because she came off as a really sweet lady. It's up in the air if Chris died because at the end there is a body being placed in the ambulance & the paramedics says that they may be able to save "him." Hopefully it's Chris because his Hagar-hair & coolness really made me like his character. If you're a pretentious asshole that likes art house flicks, you probably won't like this. If you have a soul & enjoy fun movies despite the fact that they don't have opera music & shaky-cam non-sense, you'll probably enjoy this.
User ReviewFran GThe pacing hurt this movie; it could have been a great movie, but instead it's just a good one. LOL at seeing a really young Laura Harring.
User ReviewRobert IThis film is poop, but the cast made up of Bill Moseley and Twin Peaks vets more than make up for it.

User ReviewBill B... Monte Hellman? Really? Yes, really! And it was only partly terrible
User ReviewRobert HOddly, this direct-to-video sequel to the classic Christmas slasher film is directed by the famed Monte Hellman, who helmed Two-Lane Blacktop. But there is really not any trace of his artistry here; instead, we have pretty much what you would expect from the third entry in a slasher series: a mediocre horror film that has to introduce some new oddities to keep itself interesting. This film introduces us to a young psychic woman who also happens to be blind, and she is in the process of trying to contact the grown-up Ricky. Played by cult favorite Bill Moseley, Ricky didn't die, but had his brain reconstructed and is now in a coma. Of course, the psychic prodding wakes Ricky up just in time for Christmas. Stupid, derivative, and predictable, it is nonetheless a funny and reasonably entertaining late-80s slasher.
User ReviewWes SThis movie does not compare to the first film but at least it is a true sequal and not some half ass reedit like part 2. This movie does have its moments. Bill Moseley plays a killer who has a bowl covering his brain. You may not get to see that again.
User ReviewKristian MSlasher scale: it would have been 2.5 but I gave it an extra 0.5 for the dome head.
