User Reviewken jWhen a family on a road trip lookin for old roadside attractions gets directions to a long since forgotten side show they find anything but a good time. What they do find is a generation of inbreds lookin for new women to breed with. Really good horror does alot here even with a lack of budget sorta a Hills Have Eyes but in the swamp worth taken a look at.
User ReviewBrittany LThis is a low budget horror, but I really liked the effects. The storyline isn't original, but I was entertained.
User ReviewLanky Man PA low budget hidden gem with some solid gore.
User ReviewJason DI gotta admit, I was pleasantly surprised by this low-budget fare from the usually-shitty DTV division of Lionsgate as Side Sho managed to impress me. Your typical white suburban family (the dorky father, his suspiciously younger hot wife, their suspiciously older hot daughter, and the happy-go-lucky son, along with the daughter's friend) go sight-seeing from seedy town to seedy town in the Florida Bayou. It was only a matter of time before they wound up in Hillbilly Redneck Inbred Mutant territory. At first, it was standard Hills Have Eyes-esque horror, but as each minute passed, the movie got increasingly entertaining. Throw in a supple tit shot, and an Evil Dead homage, and NOW you start to have my attention. What made this movie particularly interesting was the family's luck in discovering the silliest (and weakest) of hillbilly inbred mutant clans EVER. One after one was getting horribly dispatched by the increasingly violent suburban family. The film was moderately amusing and totally took me by surprise, even if the acting was a bit shitty and the plot was slightly predictable at times. Still....an honest surprise for me.
User ReviewCorpse Mthere was a preview at the begining of this movie for a film called frontieres....which is basically the movie that side sho dreams of being. same plot with different characters. the difference, well besides frontieres being in a different language is that side sho has some of the worste acting imaginable and the effects would have made me laugh if i wasnt so pissed off at what a bad movie it was. there was potential here thankfuly frontieres got it right and made an awsome movie but there really isnt anything good i can say about side sho, it ws lame, badly acted, the deaths were sketchy looking even tho it appeared as if they had the resources to make them look realistic they stll came off as amature. sorry but i wouldnt recommend this movie watch the hills have eyes or wong turn or texas chainsaw masacre or of course frontieres instead
User Reviewandrea gWas hoping it would be more Carnivaley, but it was more Wrong Turn meets The Hills Have Eyes, with no budget.
User Reviewmandy eAnother "B movie" that didn't work.
User ReviewAmy Hthe acting in this movie is extremly terrble. it seems as tho the budget was big enough to make the deaths look cool but instead they just look stupid. to top it off the director fails to ever include any type of tension, we just feel like we are going through the motions of another hillbilly murder movie. highly not recommended
User ReviewAndrew PA family on vacation is terrorized by freaks. Been there done seen that. Acting was not that great, and some of the filming was forgettable.
