Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzMixes music, comedy, a spy spoof and patriotism into one lame film.
User Reviewjay nShip Ahoy is a cute film. It is about Miss Winters is a dancer with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and is asked to secretly transport a prototype magnetic mine to Puerto Rico. Eleanor Powell and Red Skelton give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written. Edward Buzzell did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the music and romance. Ship Ahoy is a must see.
User ReviewGreg WRed Skelton, Bert Lahr, Tommy Dorsey And His Orchestra and Frank Sinatra on a ship; how can you go wrong?
User ReviewMichael TMGM musical with a silly wartime plot; Red Skelton gets the Metro star treatment at the expense of Eleanor Powell, who was on her way out. Tommy Dorsey & His Orchestra (including Frank Sinatra) get the best musical numbers including the hit song "Last Call for Love."
