Hartford CourantDeborah Hornblow"Separate Lives'' is billed as a psychological thriller but the film's silly premise, unlikely plot twists and often embarrassing direction rule out any suspense. The only burning question generated by David Madden's film is when, oh when, will it end?
User ReviewJames H4.5/10. The film first of suffers from being badly miscast. Neither stars are right for their roles, and neither are at all convincing. For a film dealing with a multiple personality, it sure is not very exciting. Poorly directed.
User ReviewFrances HNot the best suspense/split personality film. The best of this genre are movies like Psycho and Vertigo by the master--Hitchcock.
User ReviewJames TJim Belushi sleepwalks through this and Linda Hamilton tries to show off the body she sculpted for T2 but the lazy script does not let her. It's a boring movie that you will figure out after the first flashback and the last 30 mins are just over the top crap with nothing worth seeing if you make it to the end. Both stars have worked with Arnie in the past but not even Arnie could have saved this boring mess of a movie had he been in it.
