User ReviewJustin VGreat movie and Adam baldwin is a good actor in it
User ReviewTravis Dit was good at the end. just wish it had a bigger budget
User ReviewJulie GThe best B-movie I've seen in a long time! With cheesy special effects, plot holes you could drive a truck through but enough action and fun to make things interesting, this movie isn't meant to be deep or a blockbuster - it's just plain fun. The highlight of the movie is the reunion of Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin (both of Firefly fame) as well as some other big sci-fi cult movie stars. If you're looking for a light movie that's just fun, check this out!
User ReviewBog Man ,Look, I'm not going to say this film is good. It's not. It's really bad. But it was a lot more fun than I was expecting. Cheesy CGI, extremely bad Egyptology, and some silly dialog. But there are also some clever gags and a couple interesting ideas. For a SCI-FI (or SyFy) original, it was surprisingly not completely awful.
User ReviewPrivate UI think they could have developed this movie better, but I enjoyed the acting, storyline, and the graphics (for the most part). Good for a casual movie.
User ReviewJoseph SDidn't think it was gonna be that great from the previews, but it actually weren't half bad.
User ReviewSarah HSome parts are pretty cheesy but if you get past that it's not all that bad.
User ReviewRachel Hdespite the criticism I thought this was a decent "B" flick. The story was acutally fairly well thought out. Casting and acting was very good for a low budget film, though I thought more could have been sepent on special effects...like making a set look like it was real instead of un filtered CG effects, or making the paintings that attacked people look like paintings that attack people...instead of crude drawings that aren't a part of the actual action.
User ReviewMelissa VKind of funny - mostly pretty cheesy. Not too bad as far as cheesy sci-fi channel movies go. Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin were why I watched it and they were good. Plus I loved the redneck guy. The movie should've been all him - talk about a scene stealer.
User ReviewBabak IConsidering that it's a Sci-Fi Channel Original Movie and they aren't that good, Sands was a fairly enjoyable film to watch. There is some very nice photography and the creature effects are nice.
