New York TimesBosley CrowtherIn color, with topical music, it is a gay forty-minute potpourri.
Common Sense MediaPaul TrandahlDisney's South American tour has fun cartoons.
Combustible CelluloidJeffrey M. AndersonThe two films are as artistically astonishing as they are culturally clueless.
Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonNot a well-remembered bit of Disneyana, and I am not prepared to argue against the justice of that fact.
User Reviewvictor lAbsolute entertainment with documentary features. Wonderful colors and music. 'Brazil in watercolor' is amazing! Jose Carioca is my favourite cartoon character.
User ReviewBJ WFive-star movie for all the cool cultural stuff that the Disney party saved for all time, including the "samba" rhythm, or what is known as the "Bossa Nova" style. Lots and lots of cool cultural stuff, and this was the precursor to my favourite Disney movie of all time, The Three Caballeros. If you can find it, get it on laserdisc in the "Exclusive Archive Collection of Saludos Amigos & The Three Caballeros", because Disney has done a real disservice to this movie in subsequent releases by censoring out Goofy's cigarette in the "El Gaucho Goofy" sequence.
User ReviewAlexandra RLove this simply because it introduced the world to Jose Carioca - woohoo!
User ReviewSteve Di enjoyed this and the three caballeros. i think dora the explorer copied these guys and made a stupid show about the culture of other countries. haha.
User ReviewAndy FTra i classici d'animazione meno conosciuti, Saludos Amigos riesce ancora ad emozionarci, tutto in meno di un ora ed in tema sudamericano.
User ReviewDaniel CSurprisingly fun for an informational Disney movie.
