Leave your thoughts about Rustlers' Rhapsody.
Orlando SentinelJay BoyarAs a 10-minute sketch on Saturday Night Live, it probably would have been dynamite. But at 1 hour, 28 minutes, the picture seems padded.
Chicago TribuneGene SiskelEven on the mechanical level in which it was made, the number of jokes that don't work far outnumber the ones that do.
Associated PressBob ThomasRustlers' Rhapsody tries to challenge the age old rule that you can't satirize the Western, and fails.
South Florida Sun-SentinelCandice RussellWhat this one lacks is broad-barreled fun, which is the essential element in a spoof.
New York TimesVincent CanbyMr. Berenger is perfectly adequate but, like the film, he's on much too long.
User ReviewPrivate Uvery funny for anyone and everyone who watched the old westerns
User ReviewEd FA must see....FUNNY stuff! Fun to watch, but moreso under any influence....'wink' 'wink'!
User ReviewMary Pprobably my favorite comedy, a farce on 50's westerns and makes me laugh even when i know what's comming. chat can i say?
User ReviewDavid HOh my gosh! What a hidden treasure! This is such a funny film and overly entertaining. I am surprised this is not a more well known film. Especially since it is a western spoof. Normally not a Berenger fan, but you can't help but like him in this movie. This film has a lot of great gags in it. This is must see for all the singing cowboys out there! If you like good old fashioned comedy, you have got to see this film. YEE HA!
User ReviewDianne BAlmost like a cleaner version of Blazing Saddles, but not entirely clean. Very funny but very hard to find.
