AV ClubErik AdamsIt all adds up to a largely nonsensical wintertime fairy tale, but with Rankin/Bass' seasonal powers in the process of diminishing, Rudolph's Shiny New Year represents a last-ditch effort to synthesize a number of imaginative concepts into a single story.

User ReviewMike WFirst Christmas and now New Year's, Rudolph is a true hero!
User ReviewChris MIt was a really interesting, really fast-paced and really entertaining animated Rankin-Bass TV special. It had really well done animation, very good voice cast, great characters, really good songs, really cool visuals, great adventure and a really interesting story. I haven't seen this TV special in a very long time. This is a very nice sequel to "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I really recommend this TV special to both kids and adults.
User ReviewLUCY RTHIS MOVIE IS THE BOMB!!! RELEASED IN 1976, IT HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIES. BASS & RANKIN JR.'S CHRISTMAS MOVIES ARE PURE GENIUS. THE PUPPETS/CHARACTERS ARE CUTE AND WELL-ROUNDED. KIDS CAN RELATE TO WHAT BABY NEW YEAR IS FEELING WHEN HE RUNS AWAY BECAUSE HE DOESN'T FIT IN. I GIVE THIS MOVIE 4 STARS & MY KIDS LOVE 'EM TOO!!!:D
User ReviewGern%20 BThis is the best form of entertainment I have ever seen. My favorite character of all time is Baby New Year! I recommend that EVERYONE see this cinema MASTERPIECE! .

User ReviewAnthony VTHis one of series of clay-animation movies starring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. In this one, Rudolph agrees to help Santa Clause find New Year Baby that ran away. Of course, there's a villian, that tries to stop them. Clean, wholesome, family movie, all right for small children to watch.
User ReviewLeah FOne of the better Christmas specials. I love Baby New Year!
User ReviewAdam RWhat a charming idea, time doesn't pass, it retires to an island that you can revisit whenever you want to turn back time.
