Then, Daphne hears an announcement on the radio about two Greek Cypriots who have been presumed missing since the Turkish invasion in 1974: unexpectedly good news that rekindles her hopes of finding her long-lost father again. As a result, even though Anna, Daphne's self-confident photographer sister, is convinced that all hope is lost, she decides to give in curiosity and Daphne's impulse to find their father, and just like that, they embark on a long, risky journey to southern Turkey to locate him.
