Leave your thoughts about R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned.
PolygonJesse HassengerGiven how unnecessary Rise Of the Damned is, Leyden’s choice to pare down the original RIPD’s summer-movie bombast into an agreeable, swiftly paced supernatural Western qualifies as a rousing success. On the other hand, anyone working in the RIPD universe should also understand the value of just staying dead.
Movie NationRoger MooreThis is no credit to anybody involved, dull and dumb, badly directed from a really bad script the director took a co-writing credit on. Leave this corpse buried.
User Reviewjlogx87Definitely an improvement over the first film. Roy's background and origin story is enjoyable, and the characters have their comedic moments. The jokes are delivered at the right moments (for the most part) to cut the much darker and more serious tone of this sequel. There is some "woke agenda" in this film, but it's kept to a mostly tasteful tone, and doesn't really subvert the overall story. The villain is done well, though his motivation is shallow. It really amounts to "I want to rule the world", blah blah. Overall, a decent film. Not great, but not bad either. I'd check it out, especially if you're a fan of the first one.
User ReviewSeyonMasI don't know if I should blame the actors or the director but the way all the characters move, act, and react feels so stiff that it could very well be called turn based combat. The story on it's own could hold up but the poor performances just blow it all to hell.
User ReviewGumdropWhile the first R.I.P.D wasn't great, it also wasn't terrible. I mean I'll probably never watch it again unless there's nothing better on but it was still an ok way to pass some time. This, on the other hand is just completely unnecessary. There's nothing good here.
