Vanda has had enough of her life in Germany: enough of the airline that just fired her, her undecided eternal boyfriend and an indifferent mother. She then decides to go and take refuge with her grandmother Magdalena, a hell of a good woman who has just found her childhood love in Runina, a lost corner on the border between Slovakia and Ukraine.
