Full Plot Details

When a decaying Russian satellite crashes on the island, the Professor uses a key component for a barometer. With that device, he learns that a massive wave is going to swamp the island. In desperation, the castaways lash their huts together into one structure in order to have any chance to ride the disaster out. The wave strikes the island and the hut is swept out to sea. Once there, Gilligan accidents starts a fire trying to cook a meal and nearly burns the floating hut down. Occupied with stopping the fire, the gang fails to notice that the smoke caught the attention of a naval helicopter who summoned a ship to rescue the castaways. In triumph, they return to Hawaii, only to learn that things have changed over the years and they will have trouble fitting in. To further complicate matters, two Russian spies are after that the key component that Gilligan now wears as a necklace.

User Review - 10/10 by Tracey cRevealing mistakes: During Gilligan's tow with the sharks, visible on the water are reflections of land and the occasional glimpse of land at the top of the frame. Continuity: After the castaways become stranded once again on the island, Gilligan finds a piece of wreckage from their original boat. Although the wreckage says Minnow I, the ship they originally shipwrecked on the island in was called the S.S. Minnow. Revealing mistakes: After the storm and they adrift out in the sea, Mr. Howell falls in the water and the professor jumps in after him, it is obvious Mr. Howell is standing in four feet of water. Factual errors: All of the products that the Professor tried to invent after being rescued were available on the market before the castaways were first marooned, so he should have known about them. Frisbee was introduced 1950, electric toothbrush in 1960, pantyhose and skateboards in 1959. In fact, Gilligan mentioned wanting a skateboard in an episode of the original show. Revealing mistakes: At the end of the movie as the seven swim ashore onto the beach of an island lagoon, the cast members are still wearing their hats - clearly impossible after having swam in the ocean a reasonable distance. Continuity: When the castaways are on their Hut Boat and they decide to make a Sail out of their clothes. They show all of their clothes in the sail and then in the next scene they all have they're clothes on that they made the sail out of. Revealing mistakes: When Gilligan is being pulled by the shark, while they're in the middle of the ocean, you can clearly see parts of the shoreline and reflections from trees in the water.
User Review - 10/10 by Zachary RI loved this show! And this is a wonderful TV movie with a wonderful cast! The only thing that may be to goofy are the Russians. Other than that, it's still Gilligan, The Skipper, Mary Ann and the rest on Gilligan's Island!

User Review - 10/10 by Jeffrey MA great TV movie of "Gilligan's Island", one of my alltime favorite classic TV shows. The cast, minus Tina Louise are still as great. The castaways finally get off the island and try to reajust to civilization.

User Review - 6/10 by Sam Mbased on the tv series (1964-1967) and the became a television movie. i use to watch that show before and it very funny show with character gilligan (bob denver) and skipper (alan hale jr) mading me so laugh. all of the cast from the television series returns except for tina louise who play ginger replace by judith baldwin. good to take off from the island and wait see what happening at the end.
