Hajime is in line to be the next head of a prominent electronics company. He toils day and night over his work and has no time for his family. But one day, his mother in Shimane falls ill, and his best friend dies in an accident. Grief-stricken, Hajime returns home, where memories of his childhood dream come back to him. | User ReviewKong MThe movie itself is like a train...it moves very very slowly (yes a slow pace), but it is a wonderful slice of life story as it emphasizes that life has to go forward, in a positive way, just like a train on its railway, no matter the diversion of paths, or changes in priorities in life due to circumstances it encounters. Also, like a train, the main character still strives to make positive impact on people surrounding him. Another thing to note is there is no over-the-top sequences in its drama, though there are cliched parts noted. A well made movie. |
