| User ReviewEric On His Fantasy Quest VPeluca sounds like the name of a llama species to me than a film title about a nerdy-looking guy, but I approved of the name and liked this for its black-and-white picture quality. Just to let you know, my friends, Peluca is the short film that inspired the cult hit Napoleon Dynamite. It's about the day in the life of the super extraordinary nerd executive named Seth - and not Napoleon? - who lives in the small town of Preston, Idaho. He wants to rock the world with his illegal government ninja moves and his sweet fanny pack..."Gosh!". Directed by Jared Hess and starring the 'fro-haired Jon Heder in the leading role. I'm surprised there is a Pedro here, but he doesn't have a spoken accent or participate in a school election. Even the Burt Bacharach instrumental soundtrack makes the background scenes very good! Aside from them all, it's a great short. :) |
| User ReviewTrinity CA hilarious short piece about a wacky kid and his adventures in trying to help his friends out. The humor isn't corny and it's not even smart, but it makes you laugh nonetheless. A fantastic story, with great acting from the lead. One of his Hispanic buddies understands English yet only says two words NOT in Spanish the entire time (if you understand Spanish these parts are even funnier). The cinematography/editing looks professional -- it's hard to believe that the graininess and such is a mistake, because it adds to the feeling of dullness in a small, rural Idaho town. |
