IGNKenneth Seward Jr.Patient Zero never realizes its potential.
Los Angeles TimesGeoff BerkshireMatt Smith (sporting a jarring Midwest American accent) and Natalie Dormer (sounding like she stepped directly off the set of “Game of Thrones”) inject what little life there is in Patient Zero, a post-apocalyptic pandemic movie that's more grade-Z than “World War Z.”
User ReviewLONE_DEVILAn excellent film, the ending is very incomprehensible, I'm waiting for 2 part.
User ReviewLord-XaffaxThere are a lot of interesting ideas in this movie. There also quite a few interesting characters played by good actors. But it feels like the content for a 20 episode season 1 of a series is crammed into one movie. Because there is no time for the viewer to really get familiar with the infected, like with the walkers in The Walking Dead, the discovery of infected who act differentdoesn't have the impact it should have. That is just one example. And the movie raises as many questions as it answers. There's obviously room for a second movie, but something tells me that will not happen. It would be a better idea to revamp it as a series starting with the outbreak and end the first season where the movie ends. Stanley Tucci plays a great character so whatever they do he should return. Natalie Dormer is of vital importance and of course so is Doctor Who... I gave it a 7 because it kept me entertained and I would like to see where the story goes...
User ReviewIamcritical86Not bad. Not great, but not bad. I found the first half was a bit sluggish and repetitive, but the pace picked up towards the second half. The end of the movie left some loose ends.
User ReviewRalfbergsWHile maybe the beginning of it felt like it could turn to be nice action movie, the ending was basically like end of an episode of tv series as it really didnt show any ending. So it made all movie doesnt make sense - in a way that you just dont get told what were the reasons for virus and how it spread and nothing is solved. Feels like last episode of tv series before it gets cancelled and doesnt get solved.
User ReviewBrokenMindscapTotally unoriginal. Wildly unforgettable. Just don't waste your time. While at first the characters allude to being unique, they quickly fall into mindless caractutures. Many sequences were poorly thought out and written.
User ReviewMglovesfunBarely qualifies as a movie. Has no real ending. Story is incomplete/makes very little sense. Obviously aiming for sequels that might explain the plot of this movie, but it's a commercial failure so it won't get any. The 1/10 is purely for Natalie Dormer because she's gorgeous. The movie itself is thoroughly worthy of a zero.
