User ReviewAta ADo yourself a favour and see this movie. It's a shocking and strong revelation of the fate that awaits the Republic in the hands of fanatic right-wing Hindus, bent upon destroying a pluralistic society they little understand.
User ReviewJulie MRaw, unforgiving, and historically illuminating look at the tragedies of caste/religious based violence and discrimination in India.
User ReviewRohan GMovies this good are normally not made in this country. Every scene slices you, dices you up and then refurbishes you back again to make you whole and wonder about the state of India. At the heart of Parzania is a very human question about human nature itself: are we just good or bad, or are we made to be good or bad? Mr Dholakia also reminds us that perhaps there is no good and evil: its just what we perceive. And in doing so, he brings out possibly the finest performances I have ever seen in an Indian film. Without a doubt, the most moving Indian movie I have ever seen.
User ReviewAnish GBrilliant film. Dholakia has done an amazing job describing how the Muslims were butchered and burnt to death in front of their own relatives and how those shrieks still echo in the minds of those who survived. Also , Parzan's imaginary world Parzania is destroyed as he himself is missing TILL DATE.( Real name aarush)
User ReviewKelly PAbsolutely amazing, excellent performances by all, heartwrenching story. It really makes you feel for the victims of religious persecution.
User ReviewLayli Ufantastic, extremely moving and eye-opening.
User ReviewJithin GA standing ovation with tears in my eyes.
User ReviewSophia SFor anyone who wants to know teh real India that exists beyond the IT cities and the shopping malls...watch this!! I was in the US when this happened...and I was shocked to see what religion can do!! You have to see this movie to understand the damage religious fanaticism can cause...heartbreaking yet true!! I wish someone would put Modi in prison and for once show that India believe in justice!
User ReviewRadhika NBased on a true story, Godrah, Ahmedabad Riots. A powerfully written and acted film. The English distracts, but very well made. Must watch, all of you..
User ReviewPrivate UParzania is a rare film. Inspired by a true story, Parzania is loaded with powerhouse performances by veterans and an extremely well executed direction by Rahul Dholakia who surprises with a gripping narrative. Parzania has won National Film Awards for Best Director and Best Actress in 2006. This one is not to be missed!
