Movie Reviews

Film Threat - 8/10 by Alex SavelievIn a parallel dimension, perhaps, most movies are this well-made. Watch Parallel, and then watch it again to untangle all of its little nuances.
The Guardian - 6/10 by Cath ClarkeIt’s watchable, but don’t expect your mind to be blown – more gently prodded.
The Observer (UK) - 4/10 by Wendy IdeMontages, seesawing Dutch tilts and profligate overuse of lighting gels fail to conceal the fact that the film’s writing doesn’t match the lure of the central idea.
User Review - 8/10 by Jonathan_M_2This is like 21 meets Chronicle. It’s an interesting premise and asks intriguing questions until it kinda spins out of control into a silly, meaningless and kind of small conflict. It comes back swinging with a twist ending, though. Thrilling, fast, interesting and a bit messy. Happy I saw it.
User Review - 7/10 by umaumaiThis was a very interesting movie that left me mildly impressed. The story and art design remind me of the movie “Primer,” but with much more dynamic performances and situations. I really like what’s at the heart of the plot and the idea of a second chance, but the main thrust it guides the audience down is pretty dark. I think the characters are well thought through and nicely fleshed out by good acting. While you can see what’s about to happen in many of the situations there were a few turns that I was fairly shocked to see happen. Even though the movie has some shortcomings, the journey that the characters go on and their growth through the morality they have navigate is very compelling and kept me watching till the end. I wouldn’t say this is a must for sci-if or fantasy fans, but for a low budget movie this hit in all the right spots to warrant watching.
