Der zweite Film von Nanni Moretti, den ich heute gesichtet habe, und LA MESSA à FINITA in jeder Hinsicht à 1/4berlegen. Voll von wirklich frischen Bildern, seine originelle Grundidee ganz konsequent durchspielend und dabei temporeich, absurd-komisch und hochpolitisch. Im Grunde spielt Moretti in beiden Filmen sehr ähnliche Fragestellungen durch, während LA MESSA à FINITA aber ästhetisch alte Hà 1/4te mit etwas neuer Deko anreichert, fà 1/4hlt sich PALOMBELLA ROSSA an keine ihm vorausgehende Form mehr gebunden.

Un'opera personalissima, geniale, visionaria e minimalista nello stesso tempo, che esige una cultura e uno spirito di osservazione di stampo politico. Moretti è specializzato nella scene grottesche da antologia e la musica di Piovani contribuisce a dare ulteriore classe.
