Julius, 24, is mayor of Santa Maria, and given a mission to stop the advance of the revolutionary troops of General Zeca Netto. Carlos Bozano, 21, is the private secretary of the rebel leader. The beautiful Maria Clara and the aristocratic Cecilia loves warriors, carry dreams and hopes amidst the turmoil. Fate puts the Communist leader Luiz Carlos Prestes between the two brothers. The surprising outcome of the battle on the Col de la Croix they prove that the Brotherhood is the strongest of flags.
