Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzThe convoluted plot line doesn't have enough energy to sustain interest in its story.
User ReviewSteven PGreat movie. Con man doesn't trust anyone, leading to his downfall and death. Maggie Smith movie debut.
User ReviewAldo GNoir fans will relish this little-known minor masterwork by first time director Seth Holt. The director was a former editor who deftly uses that skill to structure a well told story of a crook whose perfect crime goes awry. Maggie Smith is luminous in her first screen role. George Nader carries the lead role well and maybe could have been a bigger film star had the studio system not been leery of his sexual orientation. Dizzy Reece's jazz score is another reason to enjoy this film.
