A sickly English woman runs a store by herself, while her irresponsible son travels aimlessly, refusing to contact her. | User ReviewJosie RNone but the Lonely Heart is an amazing film. It is about an itinerant who reluctantly returns home to help his sickly mother run her shop. Cary Grant and Ethel Barrymore give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written. Clifford Odets did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama and romance. None but the Lonely Heart is a must see. |

| User ReviewJames RI guess I'll have to give the only good review of this movie then. This is possibly Grant's finest performance of his career in a drama. Although I still enjoy his performance in Only Angels have wings better. This is also one of the most depressing movies I have ever seen. Its about 2% happy and 100% depressing, so you do the math. Its a great and sad story with great lighting effects and a pretty good score. |
