User Review - 10/10 by Randal KIf you like Adam Ant watch this movie, he is in the movie and he is fucking hot.
User Review - 10/10 by Leo LGreat movie! This is definitely one of my all time favorites in the supernatural suspense collection. Pierce Brosnan truly shines in this, and the story plot is highly intriguing. Brosnan is a French cultural anthropologist who is studying the various patterns of nomadic people in the world. In the completion of his studies and move to California, he discovers and develops a current interest in a group of outsiders in L.A. He sees resemblance of nomadic traits in the lifestyle patterns of this wily group. The closest connection that he compares it to within his studies is that of the Inuit people. His interest begins to take toll as he is welcomed by the group. As he tries to quietly walk away, it brings further tension from the group and this final realization brings his death. In the last moment of dying, it is a connection with an E.R. nurse that allows us to see the remaining days of what happened to him in memories, nightmares, and haunting thoughts. This movie reflects much of Native American aspects in connection with life, death, and the soul and spirit of a human body. Love this movie. It's quite interesting to see Adam Ant in this movie, especially as the leader of the group of outsiders. Lesley-Anne Down is absolutely fantastic in this movie. Definitely worth seeing!
User Review - 10/10 by Bill MSlick, intelligent, and demanding that the viewer watch, listen, and follow a perfectly plotted storyline, "Nomads" is the thinking person's "Fright Night". The titular demons are only '80's punks because story takes place in the '80's. Today they might be gangbangers, a hundred years ago they would have been street thugs, and so on. In fact, they are whatever they need to be in order to thrive, and thrive they do, at terrible cost to their victims. If you need blood thrown at the screen, glowing-eyed children scuttling across ceilings or tedious CGI whiz bang effects to frighten you, "Nomads" is not the movie for you. And Pierce Brosnan's French accent is, in a word, deplorable. But John McTiernan's looming terror ghost story, set in a moody depiction of an L.A. that is never quite fully illuminated, even in broad daylight, leaving plenty of shadows that let things... collect... is, in it's own way as powerful a masterpiece of tension and horror as Takashi Miike's "Audition". Just as the lead character in Audition could not see thee threat of the lovely Asami in "Audition", in "Nomads", too, the protagonists, like the audience, will see only what they look for. The luckiest of viewers will finish this film with a crawling certainty that what they saw was looking back.
User Review - 10/10 by Rich BI saw this movie years ago and completely agree with Mike S., it's an eerie film, it works on a level that I've never quite understood, but it works none the less, a solid film that is tense and truly scary at times, overall the most interesting thing about this film is it's originality, it was made in the 80's and therefor is dated in some ways, but the story is what drives the film and great stories can always be re-made to fit modern times. Definitely worth a look.
User Review - 10/10 by Roland JI don't why I haven't seen this film til now because it's all 80's coolness in this supernatural thriller.

User Review - 10/10 by Tom SHIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Unusual, well done, with excellent music and a great twist at the end.
User Review - 8/10 by Phillip CThe glam rock track is a bit dated, but the film itself has some amazing startling moments. I first saw this on late-night TV and had to search to find the title, and promptly bought the VHS years ago. If you can get past Brosnan's faux French accent (I could), and if you like sort of non-gore, but bizarre mindgame horror, this movie may be for you. Ignore the naysayers and give this a chance. One of the only times I've strongly disagreed with Roger Ebert.
User Review - 8/10 by Kelli SDès le générique, et grâce à la musique, le film nous emporte et les premières séquences nous prennent aux tripes. La marque d'un grand. Déjà.
User Review - 8/10 by Bjorn OA Film Which Shows Great Suspense, & A Great Supernatural Mood, What's Also Good About The Movie Is The Fact There Is No Blood & Guts, And Is Character Based. Brilliant!
